In 2015, Taiwan president Ma Ying-jeou presented a gift to China’s president Xi Jinping at the historic meeting between leaders of the two sides since China’s civil war ended in 1949. The present includes a hand-made porcelain Taiwan blue magpie. Taiwan blue magpie is an endemic species living in Taiwan mountain. They are gregarious and are usually found in groups. The porcelain hence representing a meaning that Taiwan treasure the family ties with China. Carrying this political importance, this Taiwan Blue magpie in the form of porcelain appeared in lots of news and media press. In traditional Chinese culture, a flower vessel in painting symbolizes the meaning of “Peace”. In Eunice’s painting, the most famous Taiwan blue magpie is kept in a Blue and white porcelain vessel, wishes peace for Taiwan and China.

A photograph of a potato shot by photographer Kevin Abosch is sold for 1 million Euros in 2016. An unnamed European businessman saw the potato photograph at Kevin’s home and decided to have it after 2 glasses of wine. Eunice tried to imitate this extraordinary potato and figure out the reason of its value. She hopes someone can tell her the answer.
