Profile 簡介張惠文，1986年生於香港，畢業於香港中文大學藝術系碩士課程，主修中國工筆動物畫創作，並從中國繪畫史研究人和動物關係的轉變。
她盼望透過作品展示動物的美，反思動物在不同文化、社會和地域的生存狀態；有時將動物人格化，為遙遠的兩者增添親切感。夢想一天把所有動物畫過。 近年在香港舉辦個人展覽和參與聯展。作品入選《香港當代藝術雙年獎2009》並由私人收藏。 Eunice Cheung is a promising young ink artist. Born in Hong Kong in 1986, Cheung received her MFA from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2011. She specialises in Chinese gongbi (fine brush) paintings of animals, and she studies the changing relationships between people and animals in Chinese art history. She wants to capture the beauty of animals and present their differing states across cultures, societies, and geographies. By giving the subjects of her paintings human-like characteristics, Eunice bridges the chasm between humanity and the seemingly distant natural world. It is her dream and hope to be able to portray every known animal. She has held a number of solo and group exhibitions in Hong Kong and overseas. Her works have exhibited at Art Basel Hong Kong, as well as Christie’s and Sotheby’s in Hong Kong. In 2015, her work was shown at the National Palace Museum in Taiwan and the Basilica of Santa Croce in Florence. One of her works was selected for the Hong Kong Contemporary Art Biennial Awards 2009, and many of her pieces are now held in private collections. |
